Job Purpose Summary

To provide expert support in all areas of the warehouse operation. You will have experience in all aspects of the operation and be a Subject Matter Expert in one or more key strategic work areas. You will also be expected to deputise for a Team Leader for a short to medium time period. You will hold a current Reach Truck FLT D2 licence and conform to all MHE procedures and H&S requirements. Your typical daily duties will include being designated to work in any area of the warehouse whilst being available to offer expert support to the operation such that the business exceeds it's customer expectations. This will require frequent and detailed interaction with the company IT systems. Your role will not be restricted to your typical daily duties and you may be required to work in all areas of the warehouse operation as requested by your line manager.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure all orders are accurately picked, reworked and packed correctly
  • Ensure all orders are correctly reworked and packaged in line with customer specific SLA's
  • Ensure customer lead times are adhered to accurately and efficiently
  • Carry out routine stock cycle counts stock-take counts
  • Maintain pick face and aisle management disciplines including the clean presentation of stock
  • Ensure all areas are clear of waste and safe at all times
  • Keep all walkways, gangways, work areas and fire exits clear of site waste
  • Report any equipment damage to your line manager
  • Provide MHE assistance to all areas of the operation as assigned by your line manager
  • Liaise effectively with the Inbound Planning Team and adhere to the inbound booking-in schedule
  • Ensure all goods reveived are accurately checked, correctly booked-in and efficiently put-away
  • Reporting any Inbound discrepancies immediately to the Inbound Planning Team
  • Ensure all solutions are assembled correctly and in line with customer specific requirements
  • Deputise for a Team Leader for a short to medium time period
  • Provide expert subject knowledge in one or more key stategic work areas
  • Be the 'go-to-person' within the warehouse operation for your particular area(s) of expertise
  • Support the internal continuous process quality improvement programme 
  • Assist in the creation of SOP's and training documentation
  • Assist with WMS user acceptance testing
  • Carry out routine MHE safety checks and comply with the battery maintenance inspection routine
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by your line manager

Skills & Abilities:

  • Previous experience of warehouse operations (goods receiving, pick, pack & despatch)
  • Experience of working within defined Standard Operating Procedures
  • Must be able to work as a team player and be able to work unsupervised
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Fluency in English is required)
  • Excellent IT systems knowledge including Microsoft Office & WMS systems
  • Conversant with stock counting procedures and able to provide counting accuracy
  • Familiarity with specific customer SLA agreements
  • Excellent product and component knowledge & experience
  • Posess a current Reach Truck FLT D2 operating licence
