Job Purpose Summary

We are looking for an individual with a passion for sales and technology to actively introduce and promote one of CMS’ Enterprise software brands, to new and existing customers in UK&I.

You will be responsible for developing long term relationships with the vendor teams and for identifying, recruiting, enabling, and developing these new customers proactively to deliver a solid pipeline of business and to assist in CMS obtaining maximum rebate return per quarter.

You will strive to ensure the achievement of sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.

You will be focused on achieving KPI’s set in line with the vendor and CMS’s business strategies and be committed to continuous professional development and to learn the key features of the technology.

You will be expected to participate in, and demonstrate learning from formal training programs to ensure personal and professional growth.

Role Responsibilities

  • Achieve Sales targets set each month / quarter.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the sales team within the vendor.
  • Identify, Recruit, Enable and Develop new partners from new and existing CMS customers.
  • Drive Deal Registrations from a focussed list of partners as previously identified.
  • Manage the pipeline created from partners, liaising with the vendor teams to maximise deal value and minimise sales cycles.
  • Occasional Face to face engagement, when required, with both the vendor and with the customers as well as utilising the many alternative methods we use for communication.
  • Deliver enablement sessions on the vendors technology and commercials to partners and CMS Sales team utilising CMS and Barracuda Presales support functions.
  • Meet and exceed agreed performance objectives & KPI’s.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain an agreed level of proactive contact daily with customers and the vendor.
  • Ensuring that all customers are provided with accurate, proposals, collateral and other information as required.
  • Attend any relevant shows & events which may be relevant to the business
  • Ensure CRM and other systems are up to date to record all communications.
  • Communicate and articulate CMS’ value proposition and strategy to prospects and customers to differentiate CMS from its competitors. Maintain high levels of customer service ensuring that CMS remains a valued and key supplier.

Always act as an ambassador and representative of CMS Distribution to ensure a professional image for the Company.  Actively contribute and act as a role model to the CMS values.

Skills & Personal Attributes

  • 3 years IT sales experience in a proactive sales role with some experience in Information Management.
  • Has a good level of interpersonal and effective communication skills to build effective and successful customer relationships.
  • A responsible, and professional attitude to work.
  • Has some commercial and business awareness and is willing to commit to gaining experience on the job and via formal training programs
  • Can demonstrate their ability to go the extra mile, to exceed expectations. Conscientious and committed, combined with flexibility in attitude and approach.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage own time effectively.
  • Good communication skills – ability to communicate eloquently in both written and verbal formats, both face-to-face and remotely.
  • Educated to Leaving Certificate or to A level standard or equivalent Proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
