Job Purpose Summary
Drive business development in existing Amazon marketplaces across EU8, and Japan. Expand into new regions across JAPAC, US and EU and take charge of new Amazon initiatives when made available (i.e. Renewed, Launchpad or similar). Increase sales across all regions with a solid understanding of AMS and sell the CMS as Amazon Experts proposition to new potential vendors.
Role Responsibilities
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop existing Amazon Marketplace accounts to meet business and vendor requirements.
- Build new accounts on demand and work with the relevant internal teams to be setup and trading quickly.
- Responsible for ensuring listings and content, pricing management, promotions, stock control, customer services, returns management, finance and accruals are correct across all accounts/regions.
- Strategic internal/external calls with the wider business (i.e. JAPAC, Beyond Apple), Product Managers and Vendors to launch new products onto Amazon Marketplace.
- Increasing sales to Amazon for our major brands
- Lead relationships with senior contacts at allocated vendors
- Lead relationships with key Amazon contacts
- Understand all Amazon processes and promotional tools
- Guide our content management team to ensure all products are represented to a high level.
- Guide the AMS team on campaigns to increase sales for allocated vendors.
- Lead mentoring and growth for Associate Vendor Managers
- Be responsible for forecasting for your category
- Make considered commercial decisions for the benefit of the business
- Lead conversations to onboard new vendors suitable for the Amazon platform
- Order processing through SAP
- Managing order lead-times SAP, SC and VC to ensure we meet Amazons metrics
- Working with logistics to ensure orders are dispatched in accordance with shipment windows
- Working with PM’s to ensure all rebate and support is loaded when required.
- Support customer services with any and all queries relating to Amazon
Key Measures of Performance:
- Weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings outlining current activity within each region and meetings with Amazon contacts. Devise opportunity and resolution reports from each meeting.
- Updates on how each region is performing versus budget, focusing on incremental opportunities arising from meetings and new formed relationships.
- Quarterly reviews to take place to analyse each region performance and how it can be improved.
- Quarterly reviews with key vendors to analyse performance, goals and deliverables.
- Drive incremental projects to meet the company’s growth targets
- Hit monthly and quarterly sales targets

- Exceptional organisational and time management skills to complete tasks promptly and respond to customers/vendors in a timely-manner whilst exceed expectations.
- Professional and articulate when responding to Amazon, customers and vendors, both written and verbal.
- Possess a strong understanding of relevant IT & CE products, vendors, competition and position in the industry.
Experience & Knowledge:
- 3-5 years experience selling to/via Amazon within a fast paced SMB environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of Seller Central, Vendor Central and Brand Registry essential.
- Expertise in AMS (Amazon Marketing Services) essential
- Advance Excel skills essential
- SAP & EDI knowledge and skills recommended
- Knowledge or interest in IT / consumer electronics
- The ability to coach and get the best from others
